Bolton-le-Sands is a popular village with the Community Centre situated in the heart of the village. The community centre was built in 1976 and is a charitable concern where a collective of trustees and committee members arrange the smooth running of the hall on a voluntary basis.
Our Mission is to continually promote the business interests of the Community Centre and to raise the necessary funds to keep the building and its contents in a good working and safe condition. To consider any questions brought to the committee, so long as they are not considered frivolous or malicious and are generally in the best interests of the Community Centre.
Our Vision is to continue to keep the Community Centre at the heart of village life for the benefit of all the community, and to enhance the facilities available to bring forward a better quality of life for the community.
The Building is owned by the Bolton le Sands Village Hall Charity (Registered no 700264).The Parish Council are the custodian trustees. The running and upkeep of the Community Centre is managed by the Management Committee.
The Car Park is owned and maintained by the Parish Council. Any member of public can use the car park.
CCTV is managed and funded by the Parish Council.

Community Centre Management Team
The existing management team (except Booking Seretary) gave formal notice that they will retire at the AGM on the 18th May 2027.
We have been actively looking for a replacement team for some years. To date we have ONE person who is willing to stand as Chair. No other persons have expressed an interest as Treasurer or Secretary.
As you will appreciate, the centre MUST have a management team to look after and control the day-to-day running of the building.
If some volunteers are not found then, unfortunately, the centre WILL CLOSE on the 19th MAY 2027.
The closure of an extremely well used centre will affect many! The centre currently has at least 25000 users every year excluding the annual Bonfire and any use as a polling station.
We have almost 500 bookings this year. The existing team will support whoever takes over and give them full training on the operation of the centre.
The volunteer posts are not onerous but VITAL to maintaining a much admired and heavily used centre.
PLEASE , think about volunteering! Without a management team the centre WILL CLOSE.
